Kraken to unleash digital transformation for Germany’s MAINGAU energy customers
MAINGAU adopts Kraken’s AI-powered digitalization platform
MAINGAU customers set to benefit from even better customer service and innovative energy products
Deal underscores both companies’ shared commitment to digital transformation and a custom-centric energy transition
Obertshausen – 17th October 2024 – Kraken, the only proven, end-to-end platform for utilities’ digitalization and transformation, has entered into a strategic partnership with MAINGAU Energie, a leading German energy provider.
The agreement marks an important step for the digital transformation of the German energy sector.
The partnership will see Kraken implement and manage its AI-powered operating platform on behalf of MAINGAU. Kraken will unlock best-in-class customer service for MAINGAU customers across Germany, including its core supply area [Grundversorgungsgebiet].
In addition to the Kraken platform, the deal will also see Kraken roll out its “universal agent” operating model for MAINGAU’s customer service. This empowers customer service staff to solve customer complaints through a 360-degree view over the customer’s account. The model has a proven track record in delivering better service and lower cost-to-serve for over 50 million utilities customers around the world.
Kraken’s cloud-native, single-data platform digitalizes and automates customer service processes, utilizing AI to improve service quality and support sales teams. These technological advancements aim to promote sustainable growth and position MAINGAU as an innovative energy supplier for the future.
The MAINGAU partnership follows the news in September that Kraken has launched its own advanced market communications solution for the German energy sector. This significant development underscores Kraken’s expansive investment plans in Germany.
Kraken's development team in Germany is already working on the next set of regulatory changes for the German market, including enabling the 24-hour provider change requirement. Kraken is expanding its dedicated office space in Berlin for the second time in 24 months in order to optimally serve the German market.
Amir Orad, CEO of Kraken, says: “We’re taking big strides into the German energy market, together with a fantastic partner in MAINGAU. Together, we are committed to transforming German energy with world-class customer service and driving forward the energy transition.”
Richard Schmitz, Managing Director of MAINGAU, adds: “With the introduction of the AI-supported customer platform, we are taking on a pioneering role in the German energy sector and setting an important milestone in the digital transformation. Together with Kraken, we not only want to not only increase the efficiency of our processes, but also take our customer service to a new level.”
