About Kraken
In 2016, we recognized that legacy technology had held the energy industry back for too long. At Kraken, we set out to change that.
Originally part of Octopus Energy, we experienced firsthand the unique demands facing utilities and developed technology to properly address those needs. Today, we're an independent business with over 2,000 employees, licensing our technology to utilities worldwide.
By harnessing advanced data, cloud automation, and AI, our platform enables excellent customer service for less and makes the development of new products and tariffs quicker and easier than ever before.
We've expanded to help improve efficiencies in field operations, and we're a market leader in residential and infrastructure flexibility, creating the only AI-enhanced operating system for utilities. Our world-leading migration process also means more utilities can make the switch away from legacy tech and transform their business with Kraken.
Through successful partnerships with E.ON Next, EDF, Origin, Octopus Energy, and Tokyo Gas, we support over 60 million utility customers globally. We have also expanded our offer to support businesses in the water and telco industries, meaning we're on track to achieve our mission of impacting 1 billion people within a decade.
