Product launch in just 6 months

Tokyo Gas is the largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplier in Japan, and is the primary provider of LNG to the main cities of Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Ibaraki, Tochigi, Gunma, Yamanashi, and Nagano. In addition, Tokyo Gas supplies electricity and has announced plans to invest $1.4bn in renewable energy to combat climate change.

About the partnership

Within 6 months of establishing a joint venture with Octopus Energy, TG Octopus Energy:

Launched a time-of-use tariff for electric customers;
expanded nationwide while integrating with 10 separate transmission system operators; and
completed a merger and acquisition of approximately 20,000 customers, and migrated them onto the Kraken platform.

I was able to do the first MVP product in just half a year after I started localization in April. I think six months was an amazing speed.
